West Lancs look to the East |
| Monday 19th October 2015, and a fairly large contingent of West Lancashire Mark Masons travelled into East Lancashire to visit Darwen Mark on the occasion of the Lodge Installation. |
| Apart for the fact that Darwen Mark is always a good night out, the reason for ‘the pilgrimage’ was to witness Edwin Schofield a well-known West Lancashire Mark Mason, being Installed in the Chair of Adoniram. |
| The event was also a team visit for the East Lancashire Mark team led by their new PGM Alex McLaren. Alex was supported by 27 of his team one of which, John Rimmer, Provincial Junior Warden is a member of Darwen Mark and was appointed as DC on the night. |

| During the evening cheques were presented in favour of the Mark Festival 2021 which East Lancashire will host. |
| Over 60 brethren sat down to a festive board befitting the occasion. The ‘Chorley swindle’ raised well over £200, and it was to my disappointment that all of the prizes that had been easily within my reach throughout the meal manage to escape my grasp. |
| Well done Darwen Mark, keep up the good work. |
